Story Time-Accident

It has been a while since I've posted and even longer since I've done Story Time! Now, lets get you in the right frame of mind. Just picture yourself in your kindergarten classroom with a carton of milk all cozy on the floor.....feel better? Me too.
There I was, driving down I-15 being a responsible driver as usual. Seat belt-check, mirrors-check, tire pressure-check. Was I speeding? Of course not! Peeling a banana? Absurd! Was I tailing the big blue truck driving in the fast lane-maybe. But at least I wasn't speeding or peeling a banana. Phew, that would have been much worse. Luckily I was behind the big blue truck puttering along at 60 MPH or I may have to admit to not peeling a banana... instead of not speeding and not peeling a banana. Good. I'm glad I cleared that up. As I was not speeding nor peeling a banana and being a responsible driver (except for the tailing part) I watched as what appeared to be a rock bounce out of the bed of the truck. It skipped once, twice, then headed right for my little Toyota Camry. I tried to duck my head but it was in vain, it hit my little Toyota Camry right smack dab in the spot. What spot you ask? THE spot. The one in a million spot that couldn't be replicated if you tried a hundred times. Before I had a chance to say, "Pickle Pete's Stinky Feet," the loudest bang I've ever heard in my entire life reverberated around me. That was odd. Then I realized I literally couldn't see one tiny itsey bitsey part of the outside world from my windshield. Interesting. I thought a bad word, slammed on my brakes, then prayed. My mistake was thinking the bad word first and then praying. If I could recommend to anyone that finds themselves in this situation to pray then think the bad word, it would be much better. Anyhow, I was able to pull into the right shoulder without being hit. It had all happened so fast! When I got out of my little Toyota Camry and looked at the damage it was not good. That rock, that little insignificant rock, had hit the sweet spot, unlatched my hood which caught wind and flew up shattering the windshield. It was sure a good thing that I wasn't speeding and peeling a banana when that happened or things could have turned out much worse (see below).
Friends don't let friends speed and peel a banana

Ever since that happened to you I've had nightmares of it happening to me. I'm so glad you weren't hurt and that everything turned out ok. Too bad you don't have a picture of what your car looked like.

Yikes! That is scary, but I am glad that you weren't hurt! When can you get together with Amy and me?
